All rehearsals will be on Wednesday nights, April 12-May 31, 7:30-10 PM.
Performances will be 8:30 PM on Friday and Saturday nights, June 3-July 29 (no shows 6/2, 6/9, 6/23-7/7).

All auditions and performances will take place at Pendulum Space, 1803 W. Byron St, Suite 216.

Please read the full details and double-check your calendars before signing up. If you have any questions email us at auditions@theatremomentum.com. If you foresee any conflicts with the schedule, make note in your email. Preference will be given to actors who can attend every performance (though some off-nights will be scheduled). If you cannot attend every rehearsal, please do not audition at this time. You will need to bring a copy of your headshot and resume for the audition, but you do not need to email it. Thanks!

Studio Managers wanted
Work for Theatre Momentum.

Theatre Momentum is hiring Studio Managers.

Studio Managers (in-kind position)

Theatre Momentum is seeking to hire studio managers to man the front desk of our rehearsal/performance studio, Pendulum Space. The studio is located at 1803 W. Byron, two blocks south of the Irving Park Brown Line.
This is an in-kind position, meaning that each hour worked can be traded for $7 of rental at the studio, for rehearsals, workshops, meetings, or performances. Friday and Saturday evening shifts are treated as time-and-a-half, so the in-kind hours would be banked at a rate of $10.50/hr.

Duties include:

  • Opening and closing the space

  • Light cleaning of studios and lobby

  • Answering the door buzzer to allow entry to renters, their guests, and audiences.

  • Giving tours to potential renters

  • Instructing renters how to use light board and sound board (no experience necessary, will train)

Requirements:

  • A reliable, communicative employee who can handle directing traffic of a variety of performers, directors, and audience members.

  • Some stage manager/house manager experience is helpful.

Schedule is flexible based on individual availability. Some daytime weekday studio managers will be required, but the majority of hours required will be evenings and weekends.

Pendulum Space is open 10 AM-11 PM every day, and will require a studio manager at any time a regular renter is scheduled. A candidate who can maintain a regular schedule is preferred, and each shift will require two back-up Studio Managers to handle potential emergency shift coverage. If you are part of a group and wish to split your hours among your group, that's possible as well, as long as back-up SMs are always available.

Excellent job for students, writers, and the like.

Position begins ASAP.

Studio Managers are expected to work 6+ hours/week. Schedule is flexible and can be worked around other obligations (with notice).

Please send your letter of interest and resume to info@theatremomentum.com.
